Barney has recently done almost everything for the Blue Jays. This includes
providing comic relief.

doubled in the second inning of Toronto's 4-3 victory over the Orioles on
Monday and advanced to third when Adam Jones Baltimore jumped the ball into
midfield. But Barney got into the bag a little earlier, his body jumped into
the mud before reaching the base before the launch.

Barney,
who later scored in the double of Richard Urena, looked up with a timid smile
and gave his thumbs to his dugout after a misstep.
"The
fans looked a little bored, I thought I'd get them on their feet," Barney
said, the same smile returning to his face.
"There
was a small mistake: I woke up today, feeling painfull. my legs] are
locked in me, and the rest is history. But, hey, I took the third place for
Urena, and he pulled me out, it's done."
Ryan
Goins, who hit Homer's solo and rode on two tracks to lead Toronto (67-77)
blatantly, mocked Barney at the club, ridiculing his slide.
"It's
as unfortunate as your house is running," Barney said.
The
infielder is hitting .438 in the last nine games with six additional hits
during this lapse. He was 2 by 3 on Monday, playing at third base. Josh
Donaldson DH'd after missing three games with the disease.
"There
was a time when I did a lot of outs and I decided that if I was going out I
could try to make myself a threat, try to get a bat in front of the area and
get them to throw tar around," Barney said of his new approach to license
plate. "Since then, I've focused on releasing a little, and everything is
fine."
Marco
Estrada (8-8), who allowed two runs on four hits, drawing seven of five
innings, praised Barney's efforts, and also received a stroke.
